Westlake Village-based survey and analytics company PureSpectrum announced Jan. 22 that it had acquired Fresno research and podcast company Happy Market Research.

As part of the deal, the company is bringing on Happy Market’s three employees, including founder Jamin Brazil, who joins PureSpectrum as president.

“We are adding new customers weekly and our existing relationships are expanding because we are investing in the necessary resources for an outstanding customer experience,” Michael McCrary, founder and CEO of PureSpectrum, said in a news release. “By adding Jamin Brazil to our team, we add proven industry expertise that will continue to add value to both customers and staff.”

PureSpectrum has grown from 30 employees in October to around 40 in seven offices across two continents, and said the acquisition will help bring additional software products to market. The Happy Market Research podcast is expected to continue without interruptions from the acquisition.

Prior to Happy Market Research, Brazil co-founded and led market research technology firm Decipher.

“Decipher’s success was a result of a strong partnership with an executive team to improve the lives of researchers through software,” Brazil said. “Michael’s executive team shares the same core values and commitment to bring innovative solutions to the industry we love.”

PureSpectrum raised $1.6 million in 2016 and is reportedly profitable. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
