Hub101 member Michael McCrary launched PureSpectrum on July 21, 2016, with a $1.6 million investment from multiple strategic partners. After joining Hub101 as a coworking member in early 2016, he was able to build a team, participate in a demo day and launch his company at a remarkable speed.

A family man from Oak Park, California, McCrary was in need of an office when he began working on PureSpectrum full-time in December 2015. His company curates online survey panels, connecting buyers in need of survey data with suppliers in an easy-to-use marketplace.

He was one of the first community members here at Hub101. New to startups after a 15-year career in the consumer services industry, McCrary soon found community at the space, bringing on board a brilliant UX/UI designer and his first full-time hire.

“It has been more than just an office space for me. It’s been a community. You get to know other entrepreneurs,” McCrary said. “To be around other entrepreneurs going through the same thing is helpful. And resources.”

Operated by Cal Lutheran University in Westlake Village, CA, Hub101 offers coworking, incubation and community for entrepreneurs and small business owners to start, grow, and scale their startups with the help of mentors, coaches and service providers.
